From the library

A glimpse. The library is members-only.

GoldenEye

GoldenEye

Oracabessa, Jamaica

Ian Fleming wrote the Bond novels here, in a small house above a private cove. Chris Blackwell now runs the estate as a working hotel without sanitizing it — the cottages and lagoon villas keep the original footprint, and the bar still pours rum the way Fleming did.

Azumi Setoda

Azumi Setoda

Setoda, Japan

A 140-year-old salt merchant's residence on Ikuchijima, in the Seto Inland Sea, restored as a small inn run on ryokan rhythms. The village bathhouse across the lane is part of the same project, kept open to locals as well as guests. The kitchen cooks what the island produced that morning.

Islas Secas

Islas Secas

Gulf of Chiriquí, Panama

A private archipelago off Panama's Pacific coast, a handful of casitas reachable only by boat or seaplane. The surrounding waters are protected, and the lodge is built around marine conservation; most guests come to dive, fish, or simply not be reachable.

The current global library, regularly updated and enhanced.

trvlbase is the working library for advisors who can tell the difference, and whose clients can too. Membership is by application.
